BOOK 2: 22 Years of Music Photography

Let me take you behind the curtain to where my 22-year-long journey in music photography started. The Date: October 12, 2002, the venue: the Liacouras Center in Philly, the band: the Counting Crows. I might have only been allowed to photograph the first three songs that night, but over the next 22 years and close to 500 shows, I photographed everyone from Mariah Carey, to John Mayer, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Foo Fighters, Maroon 5, Perry Farrell, Matisyahu, and hundreds of other bands and musicians.

The last thing I wanted to do was produce some dinky, flimsy, cheap-feeling book. Book 2 is anything but dinky! It's a hardback book, measuring 14" tall x 10.5" wide, making a 2-page spread 14" x 21". It includes roughly 292 pages, 180 images, 8,000 words and weighs in at nearly 8 pounds. It's a BIG and guess what? NO PHOTOS WILL BE LOST IN THE GUTTER. That’s because I use something called a Swiss Binding, which means the spine is not glued to the pages, allowing it to lay completely flat!!!
